Indigo has been used as a dyestuff for millennia and crosses all continents and cultures. It is one of the seven colours of the rainbow and as ancient as it is, it is still used to dye the cloth for millions of pairs of jeans every year!
Stuart’s newest fabric range with The Craft Cotton Company is inspired by the earliest block, hand, resist and transfer dye techniques and Indigo’s ancient heritage and links to nature. Earth, Air, Fire and Water are represented in these twelve elemental designs, including two prints which feature hexagons showcasing all of the prints. The palette reflects the beautiful and subtle blue variations obtainable with this most ancient of dyestuffs.
Ideal for crafts and patchwork.
